Areas of Interest
Sanofi Vaccines Inc. will provide support in selected areas of social activity that directly
reflect the interests of the company's role as a leading manufacturer of human vaccines and
biologicals and which complement the goals of the company and issues which affect it.
This support can include:
- Direct financial gifts
- Donations of product, services or equipment
- Corporate sponsorships of events or activities
- Contributions of time by company employees
Local Categories
Sanofi Vaccines Inc. recognizes its role as a responsible and caring corporate citizen
and understands that it has a responsibility to serve an active role in improving the
prosperity, health and quality of life for the communities in which it operates.
Local organizations programs should be directed towards prevention, education,
information, hygiene, access to healthcare, the environment, emergency services,
and the fight against poverty.
- Specific projects or programs are preferred to a general fund.
- Organizations in Monroe and Lackawanna Counties and surrounding areas where Sanofi Vaccines Inc. employees reside.
- Priority is given to organizations which Sanofi Vaccines Inc. employees support through volunteer efforts.
- Providing funds for common use items rather than small contributions given to many individuals.
National Categories
Sanofi Vaccines Inc. will make contributions to national organizations that reflect our
role as a leading manufacturer of human vaccines and biologicals.
General Guidelines
In general, corporate donations will NOT be made to:
- Political donations or expenses for related activities
- Sporting / cultural events not related to health
- Any for-profit groups
- Any organizations / initiatives with any sectarian, racist or xenophobic overtones
- Individual donations or grants, travel, ad hoc seminars, conferences and colloquia not related to current partnership with an association
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or institutions, bodies which do not share our objectives or code of ethics, or which are opposed to our interests
- Organizations which IRS rulings would render ineligible for tax-deductible contributions
To Request Foundation Support:
- Support by the Sanofi Vaccines Inc. Communications Department is generally limited to organizations which meet the IRS definition for charitable organizations, as specified in Section 501(c) (3) of the IRS Code
- Only electronic requests for donations can be considered by the Sanofi Vaccines Inc. Communications Department
- Each request must be made at least ten weeks in advance
- Additional information may be requested
